How does payment work?
During the time of booking a non-refundable retainer is required to lock in your date.
Couples session are $150 with the remaining balance due the day of. If a reschedule is needed, the balance is due on your new date.
Weddings + Elopements are 25% of the total balance with the remainder due 2 weeks before.
If needed, payment plans are always available!
What are your travel expenses?
Travel fees totally depend on location, time of year, and how long I'll be traveling.
For NYS locations outside of a 30mi radius from my home - travel is calculated based on mileage + cost of gas. Hotel / AirBnb may also be required.
For out-of-state locations - after we've chatted about all of the logistics, I'll put together a customized travel package factoring in all expenses needed. That way everything is fully laid out.
Do you help in the planning process?
ABSOLUTELY!! I'm a total Type A when it comes to planning and it's one of my favorite things to assist couples with. Keep in mind though, I am NOT your full fledged wedding planner/coordinator in any way, but I do help with day-of timelines and basic planning surrounding your photo needs and wants.
When do we receive our photos?
I like to get galleries signed, sealed, and delivered AS SOON AS I POSSIBLY CAN! However, this totally depends on the time of year and season I'm in. I do promise that all galleries be sent within 2-3 weeks for portraits and couples, and 4-6 weeks for weddings and elopements.
HOWEVER, you will ALWAYS get a sneak peek sent your way within 72 hours. 🥰
How do we book you?
Easy peasy - fill out the contact form with as much info as you can! Once I get your inquiry, I'll start by making sure I'm available and contact you back within 48 hours to set up a time to chat more via Zoom. It's super important to make sure we're a good fit before anything else! If we vibed and are a match made in haven we'll make things official with a retainer payment and signed contract.
What happens if you can't be at our wedding?
I will not secure a date on my calendar unless I'm 100% positive I can be there! If and I mean IF something absolutely crazy and uncontrollable happens and I cannot be there, I will send a photographer I know and trust to take my place. All images will still be kept, sorted through and edited by me so you're still getting the same style and experience you deserve.
What if we cancel/reschedule our date?
Life happens, believe me, I get it! However, this is my policy - if your date is canceled then your non-refundable payment at the time of booking is just that - non - refundable. If you decide to reschedule, then I'll check my calendar to make sure I have the date your looking at available. And if I do, your deposit will be transferred to lock it in. For weddings, you'll also receive a new contract to sign showing the new date.
What if you haven't shot at our venue?
No worries - I promise! Since I primarily travel for weddings, there's a good chance that I haven't been to your venue before. And that's okay! I'll be entering with fresh eyes and a whole new perspective.
For every wedding I like to arrive early the day of, so that I can check out the location and see the space put together. Doing this gives me a chance to find the best lighting + locations for your photos. I'll even stop by to say 'hey' and check in to make sure you're feeling goooood and have everything you need.
Do we need a second photographer?
Second photographers are amazing, they really are. And I will always recommend adding one with a guest count higher than 130 and/or a wedding party larger than 8 on either side.
Having a second photographer be apart of your wedding day helps document family reactions that I might miss when focusing on you two lovebirds. As well as a totally different view of your vows / first kiss. They can also be there to capture your cocktail hour and sweet, little candid moments while we're taking photos away from the crowd. They really do bring a totally different perspective and an extra set of hands to make the day less stressful.
